Michael C. DiBella

Chief of Police 

 

Chief Michael C. DiBella joined the Lacey Township Police Department in 1994 as a Special Law Enforcment Officer and a dispatcher.  He became a full time police officer in 1998. Chief DiBella was assigned to the Detective Bureau in 2002 where he was awared for his outstanding contributions in the field of narcotics enforcement by the United States Drug Enforcement Administration.  He was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in 2004 and was instrumental in the development of the department’s school resource program. In 2013, he was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant where he served as the department’s Patrol Division Commander and Internal Affairs Coordinator.  Chief Dibella earned an Associate’s Degree from Ocean County College and is actively pursuing the completion of his Bachelor’s Degree at Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Patrick J. Ganley, M.A.S.

Captain of Operations

Captain Patrick J. Ganley joined the Lacey Township Police Department in 1996. He was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in 2005, Lieutenant in 2014 and currently serves as a Captain in charge of Operations. Captain Ganley is responsible for most administrative functions within the police department along with Internal Affairs Coordinator, Training Coordinator, Domestic Violence Coordinator, and Information & Technology Coordinator.  Captain Ganley completed a Bachelor’s Degree at Fairleigh Dickinson University (B.A.) and a Master of Administrative Sciences Degree (M.A.S.) at Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Christopher S. Cornelius

Investigative Division Commander

Detective Lieutenant Christopher S. Cornelius joined the Lacey Township Police Department in July of 1998. He was transferred to the Detective Bureau in 2001 and was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in 2004. In 2013, he was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and currently serves as the Investigative Division Commander. Lieutenant Cornelius is a graduate of the DEA Drug Unit Commander’s Academy in Quantico, Virginia.

Vincent Meehan

(Patrol Lieutenant)

Lieutenant Vincent Meehan joined the Lacey Township Police Department in August of 1995.  He was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in February of 2013 and currently serves as a Patrol Lieutenant.  Lieutenant Meehan is an in-service training instructor with the organization.

Christopher W. Kenny, Ed.S.

(Patrol Lieutenant)

Lieutenant Christopher W. Kenny joined the Lacey Township Police Department in May of 2000. He was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in 2004 and currently serves as an Administrative Lieutenant. Lieutenant Kenny earned a Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) from Stockton State College, a Master’s Degree (M.A.) from Seton Hall University, as well as a post-masters Educational Specialist Degree (Ed.S.) from Seton Hall University. In addition to his administrative responsibilities, Lieutenant Kenny is the department Training Coordinator and also serves as the Township’s Deputy Emergency Management Coordinator.

Paul Sullivan

(Support Services Division Commander)

Lieutenant Paul Sullivan joined the Lacey Township Police Department in 2001.  He was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in 2013, and currently serves as a Lieutenant in charge of Support Services Division.  Lt. Sullivan is responsible for administrative functions within the police department along with supervising the records bureau, crossing guards, special police officers, and communications.   Lt. Sullivan graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Seton Hall University (B.A) and a Masters of Administration Degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University (M.A.)
