Gille Park Skate Park Events Making a Return

In the fall of 2016, the Lacey Township Police Department partnered with the Lacey Township Recreation Department and Municipal Alliance, to open the Gille Park skate park, for Lacey Township residents, every other Friday evening. The events started in August 2016, and continued through October 28th, 2016.

I am very happy to announce that the evening skate park events are making a return, beginning next Wednesday, April 12th, 2017, at 6:00 p.m.  The skate park will be open from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 pm, with a live DJ playing music. Lighting will be provided by the Lacey Township Police Department with assistance from both the Forked River and Lanoka Harbor Fire Departments. In addition, both the Lacey Township EMS and Lanoka Harbor EMS will be on scene. The skate park is specifically for the use of skateboards, scooters, and in-line skates.  Bicycles are not permitted. All users are required to wear a helmet in the skate park at all times, and follow all of the posted skate park rules. Bottled water will be permitted in the park.

Additional evening skate park events will be held on Friday, May 5th, Friday, May 19th, Friday, June 2nd and Friday, June 30th, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. (DJ will be playing music starting at 7:00 p.m.). Additional dates may be announced.
