Department News – Lacey Township Police Department – Lacey Police Narcotics Unit Makes Arrests for Cocaine and Methamphetamine

 

 

 

 

 

The Lacey Township Police Detectives recently completed an ongoing drug investigation into cocaine distribution. The investigation began after information was obtained that a resident from Maui Drive in Forked River, was distributing cocaine from his residence.  Search warrants were obtained for both the residence and the vehicle of the suspect, identified as 32-year-old John Appleby, 3rd.

Shoplifting – On Friday, March 17, 2017, at 12:54 p.m., Officer Jeffrey Slota responded to the Walmart, located at 580 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor, for a shoplifter. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 47-year-old Michelle Weygand of Montauk Road in Forked River for shoplifting merchandise valued at $83. She was transported to Police Headquarters and processed. Michelle Weygand was released after receiving a criminal summons for shoplifting.
