Lewdness and Warrant Arrest- On Wednesday, September 7, 2016, at 7:39 p.m., Officers Michael Verwey and Anthony Sarno responded to the 100 block of Route 9 South in Forked River, for a report of  a Lewdness. Investigation at the scene lead to the arrest of 22-year-old Joshua Dixon of  Route 9 South in Forked River for Lewdness.  During the investigation, it was also learned that Joshua Dixon had (2) two outstanding warrants, one (1) from the Point Pleasant Beach Municipal Court in the amount of $776.00 and one  (1) from the Beachwood Boro Municipal Court in the amount of $536.00.  Joshua Dixon was transported to police headquarters and processed.   He was charged with one count of Lewdness with bail set in the amount of $1500.00 with no 10 percent.  Joshua Dixon was transported to the Ocean County Correctional Facility in default of bail.

Drug Arrest – On Wednesday evening, September 7, 2016, at approximately 7:30 p.m., the Lacey Township Police Department’s Narcotics Unit, led by Detective Lieutenant Christopher Cornelius, executed a residential search warrant on the 700 block of Eagleswood Place in Forked River, NJ. The warrant was sought during an ongoing narcotics investigation involving the residents of the home. During the search of the residence, Lacey detectives recovered 514 chemist folds containing heroin, and multiple medications without a valid prescription. The targets of the investigation, 29-year-old Anthony Cicerello, and his Fiancé, 26-year-old Melissa Loehnert, both of Eagleswood Place, were arrested. Anthony Cicerello was charged with Possession of Heroin and Intent to Distribute Heroin. He was lodged in the Ocean County Correctional Facility in default of $250,000 bail.  Melissa Loehnert was charged with two counts of Possession of Heroin, Intent to Distribute Heroin, Distribution of Heroin, and Neglect of a Child.  She was released on her own recognizance pending a court appearance.  The approximate street value of the drugs seized is $5,000.

Warrant Arrest – On Monday, September 5, 2016, at 10:01 a.m., Officer Evan Androcy conducted a traffic stop on Haines Street East near Route 9 in Lanoka Harbor.  Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, 50-year-old Ellen Tar of Bayberry Drive in Lanoka Harbor, on two (2) outstanding Lacey Township Municipal Court warrants totaling $1250.00.  She was transported to police headquarters and processed. Ellen Tar posted bail and was released.

DUI Arrest On Monday, September 5, 2016, at 12:45 a.m., Officer Michael Verwey was dispatched to the area of Route 9 and Lacey Road in Forked River for a report of an intoxicated driver. A description of the vehicle was provided. While en route to the scene, Officer Verwey located the vehicle traveling on Route 9 near South Street in Lanoka Harbor and conducted a traffic stop. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, 53-year-old Pamela A. Prusecki of Pheasant Drive in Bayville, NJ, for DUI.  She was transported to police headquarters and processed. Pamela A. Prusecki was released after receiving traffic summonses for DUI, Reckless Driving, and Failure to Maintain Lane. The vehicle she was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law.

Drug Arrest On Friday, September 2, 2016, at 11:20 p.m., Officer Jesses Dalziel conducted a traffic stop on Sunrise Boulevard and Willow Lane in Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the passenger, 33-year-old Thomas F. Tumminelli, Jr., of Brookdale Park Drive in Forked River, for Possession of CDS. He was transported to police headquarters and processed. Thomas Tumminelli, Jr., was released after receiving a criminal summons for Possession of Marijuana 50 Grams or Less.

Warrant Arrest On Friday, September 2, 2016, at 9:22 p.m., Officer Jesse Dalziel conducted a traffic stop on Route 9 and Lacey Road in Forked River. Investigation at the scene revealed that the driver, 35-year-old Jesse D. Wirtz of Schooner Avenue in Barnegat, NJ, had a suspended driver’s license. In addition, two outstanding Lacey Township Municipal Court warrants were located for his arrest.  Warrant number one (1) was issued in the amount of $750.00 and warrant number two (2) was issued in the amount of $150.00.  Jesse Wirtz was placed under arrest for the warrants and transported to police headquarters for processing. He was released after posting bail.  In addition, Jesse Wirtz received traffic summonses for Careless Driving and Driving with a Suspended Driver’s License.

Drug Arrest On Friday, September 2, 2016, at 1:46 p.m., Officer Jesse Dalziel conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Haines Street and Oak Hill Court in Lanoka Harbor. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, a 17-year-old juvenile male from Forked River, for possession of CDS. He was transported to police headquarters and processed. The juvenile was charged with Possession of Marijuana 50 Grams or Less on a juvenile complaint and released to his parent. In addition, he received traffic summonses for Speeding and Possession of CDS in a Motor Vehicle.

Motor Vehicle Accident with Injury On Thursday, September 1, 2016, at 11:20 p.m., Officers Elton Copes and Robert Duffy responded to Pensacola Road in Forked River, for a report of a male who fell off of a moving vehicle. Upon the officers’ arrival, they discovered the 18-year-old victim lying in the street alert and conscious. The victim suffered a head injury, and as a result, was transported by helicopter to Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune, NJ.  An investigation led to the driver of the vehicle, identified as 19-year-old Scott V. Spina, Jr., of Essex Avenue in Bloomfield, NJ,  receiving several traffic summonses. The traffic summonses included, Reckless Driving, Riding on Parts Not Intended, Unregistered Vehicle, Failure to Exhibit Registration, Uninsured Motor Vehicle, and Fictitious License Plates.

Criminal Mischief  (Residence) On Thursday, September 1, 2016, at 3:33 p.m., Officer Noah Schaffer responded to the 800 block of Hazelton Avenue in Lanoka Harbor, for a criminal mischief report. The investigation revealed that an unknown person or persons smashed the rear sliding glass door to the residence between 3:00 p.m. on August 31, 2016, and 3:15 p.m. on September 1, 2016. It did not appear that the door was opened or that entry was made into the residence. The value of the single pane sliding door is $1,000.00.

DUI and Warrant Arrest– On Thursday, September 1, 2016 at 3:24 p.m., Officers Scott Anderson and Michael Baldasari responded to the 300 block of Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor for an intoxicated male.  Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 32-year-old Thomas Cobb of Atlantic City Boulevard in Bayville, NJ for DUI. In addition, two outstanding Ocean County Sheriff’s Department warrants in the total amount of $9372.00 were located for his arrest.  Thomas Cobb was transported to the Barnegat Township Police Headquarters and processed for the DUI.  He was then released to the custody of the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department on the warrants. In addition, Thomas Cobb received traffic summonses for DUI, Reckless Driving, and Driving with  Suspended Driver’s License.

Burglary and Theft (Auto) On Thursday, September 1, 2016, at 11:14 a.m., Officer Michael Hein responded to the 2000 block of Brookdale Park Drive in Forked River, for a theft report.  The complainant stated that between the evening hours of August 29, 2016, and the morning hours of August 31, 2016,  a Garmin GPS unit, a cell phone charger, and brown sunglasses were stolen from the center console of his unlocked vehicle that was parked at the residence. The total value of the stolen items is $100.00. The incident is under investigation.
