• DUI Arrest – On Thursday, October 26, 2017, 7:23 p.m., Officers Martin Julian and Patrick Watkins responded to the WaWa, 701 Route 9 North for a report of a female passed out in her vehicle. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 35-year-old Jaymee Tice-Britton of Enterprise Drive, Forked River, for DUI. She was transported to police headquarters, processed, and released after receiving traffic summonses for DUI and Reckless Driving. The vehicle she was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law.
  • Burglary and Theft (Auto) – On Wednesday, October 25, 2017, at 1:22 p.m., Officer Alan Abrecht responded to the 1400 block of Foch Avenue in Forked River for a report of theft from a motor vehicle. The victim reported that between 11:00 p.m. on October 24, 2017 and 8:30 a.m. on October 25, 2017 unknown persons(s) entered her unlocked vehicle and stole several items. The stolen items included cash, a pack of Pall Mall cigarettes, a cigarette case, and three cigarette lighters with a total value of $27. The vehicle was unlocked and parked in the driveway of the residence at the time of the theft.
  • Fraud (Arrest) – On Tuesday, October 24, 2017, the Lacey Township Police Department Detective bureau charged two Berkeley Township residents as a result of a two-month long investigation into prescription fraud. Detective Kymberly Gudgeon recovered numerous fraudulent prescription blanks from several pharmacies throughout Ocean County. In each case, it appeared that the prescriptions were obtained from different doctors and then altered to obtain Adderall, a Schedule II amphetamine. Investigation led to the arrest of 35-year-old Christopher A. Foster of Bayville, NJ, for Obtaining a Controlled Dangerous Substance by Fraud and Conspiracy, as well as the arrest of 43-year-old Brian Zartarian of Browning Avenue, Bayville, NJ for Conspiracy. Detectives are searching for a third person involved and will be will be seeking additional indictments against Christopher Foster for each offense committed in other jurisdictions.
  • Burglary & Theft (Auto) – On Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at 5:37 p.m., Officer Jason Lee responded to Lacey Township Police Headquarters for a report of theft from a vehicle. The victim reported that between 8:30 p.m. on October 23, 2017 and 7:50 a.m. on October 24, 2017 some person or persons entered her vehicle and stole $400 in cash and a $10 check that were in her purse. The vehicle was unlocked and parked in her driveway, located on the 1700 block of Parkside Drive in Forked River, at the time of the incident.
  • Burglary & Theft (Auto) – On Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at 3:24 p.m., Officer Daniel Ricciardella responded to Lacey Township Police Headquarters for a report of theft from a vehicle. The victim reported that between 5:30 p.m. on October 23, 2017 and 7:30 a.m. on October 24, 2017, some person or persons entered his vehicle and stole several items. The stolen items included a leather wallet containing $20 in cash, a debit card, and a NJ Driver’s License. The vehicle was unlocked and parked in the driveway of his residence, located on the 200 block of William Street in Forked River, at the time of the incident.
  • Warrant Arrest – On Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at 2:04 p.m., Officer Anthony Sarno was at the Lacey Township Municipal Court when he observed 35-year-old Christopher A. Foster of Frederick Drive in Bayville, NJ, enter the court room. Officer Sarno was aware that Christopher Foster had several outstanding arrest warrants. Officer Sarno confirmed the warrants and then placed Christopher Foster under arrest on the authority of two Lacey Township Municipal Court warrants with a total bail amount of $1000.00, as well as a no bail Lacey Township Municipal Court warrant. The no bail warrant was issued for criminal attempt and criminal conspiracy. The other two warrants were initially issued for shoplifting ($500) and driving while suspended ($500). Christopher Foster was transported to Lacey Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and then transported to the Ocean County Correctional Facility in lieu of bail.
  • Burglary & Theft (Auto) – On Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at 1:02 p.m., Officer Michael Hein responded to the 1600 block of Evans Road in Forked River for a report of a vehicle burglary. The victim reported that between 8:00 p.m. on October 23, 2017 and 9:30 a.m. on October 24, 2017, some person or persons entered her vehicle and stole $3 in loose change and four $1 bills from the center console. The vehicle was unlocked and parked in the driveway of the residence at the time of the incident.
  • Burglary & Theft (Auto) – On Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 9:33 a.m., Officer Brian Holt responded to the 1500 block of Whitcomb Road in Forked River for a report of a vehicle burglary. The victim reported that between 9:45 p.m. on October 23, 2017 and 8:30 a.m. on October 24, 2017, some person or persons entered her vehicle and stole items from the center console. The stolen property included five blank checks and fifteen prescription pills with a total value of $10.
  • Theft – On Sunday, October 22, 2017, at 9:07 p.m., Officer Jason Lee responded to the 800 block of Buena Vista Road in Forked River for a report of theft. The victim reported that between the hours of 8:00 p.m. on October 20, 2017 and 11:30 p.m. on October 20, 2017, unknown person(s) stole his NJ ID card from his bedroom dresser. The total value of the stolen property is $25.
  • Warrant Arrest – On Sunday, October 22, 2017 at 9:04 p.m., Officer Christopher Meyler observed the driver of a 2008 Mercedes Benz failing to maintain his lane of travel. Officer Meyler conducted a motor vehicle stop of the vehicle on Route 9 near Game Farm Road. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, 38-year old Jason S. Kent of Bunnell Street in Lanoka Harbor, on two outstanding traffic warrants. The Lacey Township Municipal Court warrant was for driving while suspended in the amount of $500 and the Barnegat Township Municipal Court warrant was for driving while suspended in the amount of $500. Jason Kent was transported to Lacey Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and then transported to the Ocean County Correctional Facility in lieu of bail. Jason Kent was also issued motor vehicle summonses for Driving While Suspended and Failure to Maintain Lane.
  • Burglary & Theft (Auto) – On Friday, October 20, 2017, at 4:27 p.m., Officer Adam Ewart responded to the 1500 block of Arient Road in Forked River for a report of theft. The victim reported that sometime between 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 19, 2017 and 7:00 a.m. on Friday, October 20, 2017, unknown person(s) stole a 6’ aluminum step ladder and a shop vacuum from the bed of his pickup truck. The truck was parked in the street in front of his residence during the time of the incident. The total amount of the theft is estimated at $400.
  • Drug Arrest (Heroin) (September 29th) – On Friday, September 29, 2017, at 2:30 p.m., Lacey Township Detectives made two arrests while conducting surveillance of a residence on Lake Barnegat Drive, Forked River, NJ. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 25-year-old Kevin Alvarez of Kingston Court, Lakewood, NJ and 34-year-old Lee Collins of Lake Barnegat Drive North, Forked River. Alvarez was charged with distribution and possession of controlled dangerous substance (Heroin). He also had an outstanding child support warrant out of Ocean County Sheriff’s Department. Collins was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (Heroin) along with two outstanding warrants out of Lacey Township and Robbinsville NJ. The Lacey warrant was for shoplifting in the amount of $500. The Robbinsville warrant was for failure to make lawful disposition of a controlled dangerous substance in the amount of $1,058.99. Both subjects were lodged in Ocean County Correctional Facility to await a bail hearing.
