  • Counterfeit Money – On Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at 10:29 a.m., Officer Dan Ricciardella responded to the Wawa at 800 Lacey Road in Forked River regarding counterfeit money.  The store manager reported that within the prior hour, a white male in his 40’s, paid with three counterfeit $20 bills. The suspect purchased $60 worth of gift cards with the counterfeit money. The store manager also reported that the same suspect did the same thing a half hour prior within another Wawa at 444 Route 9 South in Forked River. He reportedly also passed three counterfeit $20 bills at that store as well. Security video is being obtained through Wawa management.

  • Warrant (Arrest) – On Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at 4:02 a.m., 34-year-old Laura Mooney, of Burr Street in Barnegat, called 911 to report that her boyfriend, 28-year-old John Sabie, of 755 Birch Road in Lanoka Harbor, was unconscious in the woods between Cedar Drive and the Bayberry development in Lanoka Harbor. Laura Mooney reported that 51-year-old Rocco Selig of Cedar Drive in Lanoka Harbor provided her with the information. Officers attempted to make contact with Laura Mooney, but she did not answer her phone and did not come to police headquarters. Officers searched the wooded area for several hours but were not able to locate John Sabie. Officers spoke with Rocco Selig, who denied making the phone call to Laura Mooney and denied knowing John Sabie. Later in the day at 12:15 p.m., Rocco Selig called Lacey Township Police Headquarters to report that he had found John Sabie and walked him to the end of Cedarwood Drive in Lanoka Harbor. Officer Ricciardella responded to the scene and confirmed that the subject was John Sabie. John Sabie had an injury to his head and was transported to Community Medical Center by the Lanoka Harbor First Aid Squad. John Sabie had a $1,000 Toms River Township Municipal Court criminal warrant and was turned over to Toms River Township Police at the hospital. John Sabie also had a $250 Newark traffic warrant, but was released on his own recognizance by their court clerk.

  • Theft – On Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at 10:30 a.m., Officer Michael Eden met with a resident of the 900 block of Center Street regarding the theft that reportedly occurred between 11:30 p.m. on June 10, 2014 and 6:00 a.m. on June 11, 2014. An unknown person or persons reportedly entered his unsecured garage and stole his Men’s 26 inch black Mongoose Mountain Bike. The bicycle is valued at $200.

  • Warrant (Arrest) – On Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at 9:06 p.m., Officer Evan Androcy was on patrol when he observed 22-year-old Kyle Pianetti standing outside in front of his residence on Briar Road in Lanoka Harbor. Officer Androcy was aware that Kyle Pianetti had an outstanding $20,000 warrant out of the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department for a parole violation. Officer Androcy approached Kyle Pianetti and placed him under arrest. Kyle Pianetti was arrested and transported to the Ocean County Jail in default of bail.

  • Warrant (Arrest) – On Thursday, June 12, 2014, at 6:22 p.m., Officer Michael Verwey conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 9 and Jones Road in Forked River. The driver, 22-year-old Lizette Franco of Sylvan Court in Lakewood, was placed under arrest on the two outstanding warrants. The first warrant was a $350 Toms River Township Municipal Court warrant and the second was a $428 Beachwood Borough Municipal Court warrant. Lizette Franco was issued a summons for driving while suspended and later turned over to Toms River Police Department in default of bail. The Beachwood Borough Municipal Court released her on her own recognizance on their warrant.

  • Criminal Mischief – The owner of the Forked River House Plaza responded to Lacey Township Police Headquarters to report that an unknown person or persons damaged the mailbox in front of his commercial business. The large stainless steel rectangular mailbox is located on Route 9 in front of the Forked River House Plaza, 121 Route 9 South in Forked River. The owner was not sure when the incident occurred, but the damage was noticed by an employee on Friday, June 6, 2014. The box appeared to have been struck by a vehicle. The value of the damage property is estimated at $1,800.

  • Warrant (Arrest) – On Friday, June 13, 2014, at 1:00 p.m., Officer John Simonson responded to the area of Meadowlark Beach in Lanoka Harbor in reference to a suspicious automobile that was called in by a concerned citizen. Upon arrival, Officer Simonson located the vehicle and met with the occupant, 39-year-old Lisa M. Morgan, of 28 Anthony Way in Jackson. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of Lisa Morgan on an outstanding $2,038 Lakehurst Boro Municipal Court criminal warrant and a $401 Millstone Township Municipal Court traffic warrant. Lisa Morgan was unable to post bail and was transported to the Ocean County Correctional Facility.

  • Drug Distribution (Search Warrant & Arrest) – On the evening of Friday, June 13, 2014, Lacey Township Police Department detectives, with the assistance of the Ocean County SWAT team, executed a search warrant at 1226 Laurel Boulevard, Lanoka Harbor, NJ. The warrant was sought during the investigation of a drug distribution operation. The investigation was conducted by the detectives of the Lacey Township Police Department.

    During the search, detectives discovered a quantity of marijuana, packaging equipment, and cash consistent with distribution. The target of the investigation, 22-year-old Randy Clark of 1226 Laurel Boulevard, was arrested at the scene and charged with Distribution of Marijuana. Randy Clark was lodged in the Ocean County Correctional Facility in lieu of $25,000 bail.

  • Criminal Mischief – On Friday, June 13, 2014, at 10:26 a.m., Officer Michael Hein responded to 1815 Beach Boulevard in Forked River, in reference to criminal mischief to a motor vehicle. The owner reported that between 12:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. on June 13, 2014, an unknown person or persons damaged the front passenger door handle of her vehicle. The vehicle was parked in the driveway of the residence when the incident occurred. A piece of plastic was broken off and was found lying on the driveway next to her vehicle. The damage is estimated at $50.

  • Warrant (Arrest) – On Monday, June 16, 2014, at 7:13 p.m., Officer Charles May responded to the area of Bay Way and Maple Road in Lanoka Harbor in reference to a complaint of possible drug activity. The caller reported that a male subject on a bicycle had just made a hand to hand transaction with a female who was on foot. Upon arrival, Officer May met with 31-year-old Kalif A. Dollard of 409 Forrest Avenue in Lanoka Harbor. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of Kalif Dollard on an outstanding $8,739 Ocean County Sheriff’s Department child support warrant. Kalif Dollard was transported to Lacey Township Police Headquarters and then to Ocean County Correctional Facility in default of the bail.
