Residential Burglary (Arrest) – On Thursday, November 28, 2013, the Lacey Township Police Department received a report of a residential burglary on Bowline Drive in the Sunrise Beach section of Forked River. On Tuesday, December 17, 2013, after a three-week investigation, Detective Brian Flynn arrested 30-year-old Jeffrey Polyak of 207 Greenwood Lane in Forked River. The Bowline Drive home was forcibly entered by means of a bedroom window being pried open while the residents were not home. Jeffrey Polyak was charged with Burglary as well as Theft of Movable Property ($7,500 worth of jewelry). Jeffrey Polyak was transported to the Ocean County Correctional Facility with bail set at $25,000.
