Theft – On Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at 9:40 a.m., a resident of Shepard Avenue in Forked River reported his marine battery and wire harness were stolen from his boat trailer in the morning hours of April 23rd. The battery was mounted on the front of the trailer to operate the trailer winch. A neighbor reported witnessing a thin, white male loading a battery into his vehicle while he was parked next to the victim’s residence earlier that morning at approximately 9 a.m. The suspect was reportedly operating a rust-colored, Jeep Wrangler with a black top. The suspect jeep reportedly had black wheel flares on the wheel wells.
